Principal and Chief Operating Officer

John Coletti is a Principal and the Chief Operating Officer at TSD Communications.

He is responsible for the firm’s business and management systems, including budgeting, tax, governance, legal, personnel, and technology logistics functions. John collaborates daily with the Managing Director and other Principals to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure to meet the firm’s short and long term goals. His focus is to ensure TSD’s continued financial strength and operating efficiency.

Over a six year period from 1999 to 2005, John primarily focused on client work. He led TSD’s Athens office and managed all TSD work as lead international communications advisers to the Athens 2004 Olympics Organizing Committee. He led the team that developed and executed a successful international communications plan for the world’s largest sporting event, helped develop and implement international strategic messaging and organized international press events and outreach. John has been with TSD since its founding in 1994, and has throughout helped manage the firm’s business to deliver consistent profitability and a high quality of work for its clients and work life for its employees.

Prior to joining TSD, John worked with the Democratic National Committee’s finance staff. He also served as a member of the Clinton-Gore Presidential Campaign’s communication team during the 1992 election where he coordinated local television interviews of Governor Clinton, Senator Gore and Democratic spokespeople.

Following the successful election campaign, John served as transition staff for the White House National Economic Council, where he prepared Research and briefing material on budget issues for White House staff directors and economists. He also organized daily meetings for National Economic Council members with the President and Vice President.

John began his career as a Legislative Assistant and intern for former US Congressman Nicholas Mavroules where he worked on education, small business and environmental issues.

He received a BS in Political Science from Northeastern University in 1992.
