Senior Principal and Managing Director

Eric brings more than two decades of communications and policy experience to TSD Communications, spanning federal government, Capitol Hill, advocacy organizations, and political campaigns at the state and national level. He has advised a variety of companies and organizations — including Google, Meta, SiriusXM, The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, and The Hartford.

Before joining TSD, Eric served as Director of the Office of Public Affairs at the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, where he managed communications for some of the agency’s highest-profile matters. He was lead spokesman during the AOL/Time Warner merger review and led press strategy for landmark investigations into the marketing of violent content to minors and e-commerce privacy violations. He also served as a senior strategic advisor to FTC Chairman Robert Pitofsky on policy and communications.

Earlier in his career, Eric was Deputy Communications Director and Speechwriter to House Democratic Leader Richard Gephardt, where he coordinated the Democratic Caucus’s daily messaging operation and helped shape Leader Gephardt’s technology policy agenda.

Eric is a graduate of Brandeis University and George Washington University Law School.
