Charles Sweeney joined TSD in 2001, bringing with him wealth of corporate and political communications experience. Charles’s work for national political figures and corporate clients has received national and international television, print, and radio exposure.

At TSD, Charles has written speeches and prepared presentations for ATHOC President Gianna Angelopoulos-Daskalaki, including remarks for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Olympic and Paralympic Games; and The Hartford CEO Ramani Ayer.

Prior to his association with TSD, Charles was Senior Executive Communications Manager for MCI, then the $14 billion consumer arm of MCI WorldCom. At MCI he was responsible for all internal communications for MCI's top executive team, including the COO, the CFO and all Senior Vice Presidents, including speeches, videos, web content, and a monthly internal television show. He also worked closely with the finance team to prepare internal reports, updates, and investor relations briefings.

Before joining MCI, Charles was Chief Speechwriter for Secretary of Commerce Ronald H. Brown. Charles has also written for President Bill Clinton and Vice President Al Gore, and has served on the staff of Senators John D. Rockefeller and Barbara A. Mikulski. He is a published food writer and restaurant critic.

Sweeney graduated from The George Washington University in 1986 with a degree in Public Affairs and a concentration in Economics. He and wife Stephanie Schehr are the parents of Dylan and Nora.
